The 9 month well health visit

I took Lily for her well health visit this morning…which means she’ll probably get a cold within the next few days…  But, she weighed in at a whopping 18 lb. 5 oz.  She is now 27 3/4″ long also.  She got 2 shots today and is now sound asleep.  She doesn’t have to go back now until May for her 1 year well health visit.

This past Saturday night, Josh went in to check on Lily and caught her standing up in her crib!!!  She only just started doing her inch worm move a week or two ago, and now she is already pulling herself up.  Of course, she had to show off her new skills for the doctor.  You know what this means though?  Time for baby #3!!!  Yes, I’m being serious…I’ll keep you updated on any progress with that.

I learned two things this past weekend.  First, I learned how to make jello jigglers.  Now, I’m addicted to them and so is Peyton :)   They can’t be that bad for you right?  The second thing…it is possible to eat too many brownies in one sitting…we’ll leave it at that.

Peyton learned a couple things this past week as well.  Apparently, she has picked up on a couple of my bad backseat driving habits.  Whenever Josh presses on the brakes a little too hard…we hear “JOSH!”  come from our little angel in the backseat…hehe.  However, Josh had his little revenge.  He decided to teach Peyton what the red octagon signs mean…Now, whenever she sees one, she gets excited and says that she “hears the red octagon sign”  and “Mommy you need to stop!”  Thanks Josh.  I really appreciate it since we happen to have one of those little red octagon signs right outside our house that she sees whenever we open the front door.

Josh and I also made an extremely exciting purchase this past Saturday.  We bought a new….vacuum!!!  We were really excited about this.  It was our first bagless one, which is really cool.  We spent Saturday night vacuuming one room and then looking at all of the stuff it picked up, then we moved onto the next room.  It was amazing and disturbing at the same time.  It’s great that this vacuum is working so well and entertaining us, but at the same time we looked at everything it picked up…and realized this is what Lily and Peyton have been playing in, etc.

Okay, well it’s time to get Peyton and Mommy down for our naps :)   (One of the perks to staying home during the day)
